Synopsis:
Decision is a story about Chen, a son from a Chinese immigrant family who longs to go to college to chase his own dream after years of working in his father’s restaurant. However, his stubborn father is against Chen’s decision as it coincides with his expectations of his son. As a result, Chen and his father must make their final decision to maintain the father-son relationship.

Chen becomes pessimistic and rebellious because his father wants him to inherit the family’s restaurant business. After working in the restaurant for years, Chen wants to have a
different life than his father’s so he decides to go to college and chase his dream. But how will he make his father approve his willing?

Chen’s father is a stubborn restaurant owner who is hard working, conservative, serious and lack a sense of humor. He thinks Chen has passed his optimal age to start something new in the USA. He believes that Chen should not go to college and chase an unrealistic dream. He wants Chen to obey his parents per Chinese traditional values and continue his business like other Chinese sons.

He is a restaurant chef who is kind and friendly, but is often quite. The cook is willing to help out without being noticed. He has been working in Chen’s family restaurant long enough to become a part of the family. He is the middle person that maintains the father-son relationship.

We are in the preproduction phase. The actual filming will take place in between mid Dec. and early Jan. There are some rehearsals during mid Nov.
